Hi,

I'm a newbie to the forum  Smiley

I was wondering if anybody can help me identify a source for this size of LED Lightbar. I have been searching for over a year and have found nothing. I have found simular sized versions but none that match the one in the picture.

Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Joe.

this post is giving my dejavu ... not sure if I've seen it on this forum, or another I frequent, but anyway..

you'll want to get some 8 to 10 mm rectangle leds, glue 'em together and grind 'em down to the dimensions you need, and if you need a polished look, probably baking soda, toothpaste or brasso will restore the 'clarity' to the ground-down edges.

another option is to buy a piece of clear (or green) acrylic bar stock close to the dimensions you desire, and grind it down to fit, then you can drill out openings for 3 to 5mm leds

Thanks JustDIY for your ideas. I have considered the acrylic bar stock idea but these Leds are to be mounted so that they can be seen from all angles so i need a clean look with the correct amount of LEDs.

I have been on another forum with the same question a while back so you may well have seen this before  Smiley

I know these Lightbars were available as of 2004 but everyone i have contacted about them has never seen them before!  Undecided

Have you looked through the Kingbright catalogue? My local supplier has their 4 (10mmx10mm), 6 (10x16) & 8-led (10x22) panels, so there may be 2-led ones. Probably not the same size as yours if that's critical, though there's a 14mm x 7.5mm listed.

I've looked through the Kingbright products and found the smaller versions you mentioned which are close. The 14mm x 7.5mm is the closest but it has a white casing around it and i was told that if the casing was removed the lightbar would fall to pieces!
I need the light to shine out through the sides aswell as the top.
