10MM LED Question

Just saw some 10MM "Super bright Golden White" LEDs rated at 70,000 MCD for a 30 deg viewing angle. I'm looking for a reading lamp replacement for a halogen bulb and thought these might be a good way to go.

Any thoughts or experience with these?
