Not as bright as the traditional lamp, but at the incredibly small size of this thing, I expect road warriors will flock to it.

Has anyone see an prototype in action?

I've seen the minature halogen and hid based projectors, and they're awesome... but I just dont see LEDs as a bright enough lightsource, certainly not to fill a confrence room wall

one thing I welcome about the LED projector, should it ever come to market, will be bulb life ... replacing projector bulbs every 500-1500 hrs really gets old and expensive

How they are cooling the LED; without a fan?!  thats a bad sign right there

I wonder when the DIY crowd will start making diy projectors of the LED variety

Well, they unveiled it in Berlin, and since ich bin nicht ein Berliner, I haven't seen it.

Part of the cleverness is the additive approach to white light. running red green and blue sources and adding them is much more efficient (more lumens/W) than a phosphor-converted white LED. The phosphor is remarkably efficient, but not ideal.

If anyone's listened to eddie izzard, they'll be thinking "i am not a donut" ? what does he mean.

what you need to say would be more like "ich bin nicht Berliner"  as "ein Berliner" is a name for a donut.

Yes, it was my president (sort of--I was born after he was assassinated) who was the original donut, and I was misquoting him intentionally.

mmmm, Donut

Dammit.

I'm British and I misinterpreted some irony...

I must be slipping.
