Guidelines for Vendors

Unlike some forums, I welcome the participation of vendors on my discussion board. I ask that you adhere to the following guidelines to keep everyone's experience enjoyable:

• Please make yourself known to me as a vendor. I will label your user account in a way that makes it clear to everyone.
• You are welcome to place a link to your site in your profile, and in your signature.
• Please refrain from excessive or gratuitous promotional posts. Focused, on-topic responses to questions from forum members are perfectly acceptable, even if they have promotional content .
• Certain other types of promotional posts may be allowed if cleared with me beforehand.
• Fairness is my overall goal, and that's a two-way street. Please take up any dispute with me directly. You can contact me by email or private message on this board to do so.

Since it's currently more relevant that it has been historically, here's a clarification on the above.

when I said

what that means is if you aren't contributing to the discussion with your post, moderators will remove it. And if a vendor account causes me undue grief along those lines, I'll remove the account.
