perhaps someone can stick this into a backlight sticky ... I really get tired of explaining that 12V in a car is a lot more than 12V. 

It is actually worse than I thought with the standard reliability test putting a 90V pulse with a 0.4S duration on the supply line for automotive acceptance tests!
