i ride on a 4 wheeled electric scooter, the HS-890 by CTM, shown here;
http://www.americanwheelchairs.com/specscohs890.htm

i browsed through this LED bulb replacement site and could not seem to find a match;
http://www.superbrightleds.com/other_bulbs.htm

the bulbs are all 24 volt. the two bulbs in the headlamp are 24v 9watt wedge base bulbs.
the turn/signal/tail/flasher lights are two amber ones in front, and two amber and two red in back, all 24v 5watt wedge base.

except for the headlights, the running lights are all flexible, weatherproof rubber socket mounts.

i tried shining a 7-LED white LED flashlight through the amber front running light lens, and the lights lose some brightness but do shine through pretty good.

i could not find a wedge base bulb with 24 volts.

they do have one with 12 volts in wedge base, or one with 24 volts in bayonet (push and twist) base.

if i change the bayonet base for a push-twist base, it won't match the lens holder, and would not be weatherproof, and the lights are in-line right next to the tires under the wheel well.

i thought i might could make some wedge base pieces, with contact wires bent onto them and soldered to the ends of push/twist bulbs. the quality would be hand-made however, and i am doubtful i could get it just right.

if i ran a resister in series with each bulb, this could allow me to use 12 volt wedge base bulbs, but i am not sure what size resister i would have to use.

another way would be to run two 12 volt bulbs in series to one source. this would work for the headlamps, and then the front and rear bulbs could be run together on right and left sides. i am reluctant to rewire the scooter like that, due to the danger of unforseen consequences, like mistaken wire or connect ID, but it might be a possibility.

the red tail lights could then possibly be run as a dual-bulb series separate circuit.

it would be nice to just find wedge base 24 volt bulbs to get a straight plug-in replacement.

any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated.

Quick qoogle search revealed some vendors are offering 24V wedge-based LED bulbs:

Don't try Smiley
The LED's have quite narrow/specific spectrum, so filtering out some different wavelength doesn't work out the same way as with incandescent bulbs.
The White LED's are basically blue emitters with yellow phosphor coating, emitting both, blue and yellow light which for the human eye looks white. The amber lens filtered out all/most blue light and probably some of the yellow spectrum from the LED. Try yellow(they're actually amber in color) LED instead. Less light will get lost.

Edit: the popular online-auction seemed to list 24V wedge LED bulb as well (in Australia tho)
