Hi every one!

Now I have started on my newest project, a 1" high led lightbar, 48" long. I am hoping to put 32 or more 3 (or 5 watt) leds inside, and I have attached some videos on two of the lamps connected to a sho-me ledflasher.
This bar. "Bar-ry" :p  is built up of 0,23" pure lexan. I only attached one aluminium piece on each side so it can be mounted on the roof. Its measures: 47"x8,26"x0,86". Quite large, so it will contain lots of led lamps Smiley

October 21st
Today I received the last lexan module, and now I have to drill all holes to the colimators. I have also mounted some cross-bars to make it stable. It looks like this now:

Now I am finished with the mechanical work, so now the electronic part begins. Actually I have finished both corner lamps. You can see a video here: http://www.rs-support.no/produktvideo/bar_in_action.mpg (1,09MB) or you can watch this image to get a little idea about what I am doing.

I will update this "article" with pictures, videos etc as I am working on it

those cameleon leds look like RGB superflux ... you can grab 'em from hebei ltd or maybe best hongkong.  They're pretty bright, but nothing compared to a 3w 'luxeon' type led.

prolight makes a 3w (3x 1watt emitters) rgb "star", which is probably brighter than the superflux.  There is also the new rgb Endor Star comprised of three middle of the road luxeon rebels.  Problem with the endor star is there's no off the shelf optics for them, but you are pretty handy with plastic fabrication, so I'm sure you could make something up!

That is why I decided to go with a centered rebel from someone else.
