The Rebel is a small, cost effective, single chip, high output led.  The top bin in white puts out 80 Lm min at 350mA and 145 typ at 700mA.  The cost from Future is $3.74 each or $2.49 each for a 500pc reel for the 80 Lm bin.  The measurements are taken at 25C thermal pad temperature as opposed to the 25C junction temperature that Edison uses to further skew their data sheets.

oh, damn, excited about nothing - of course, no stock on anything but the cool-white product Sad

Go ahead and be excited...it just hit the market so it is a bit surprising that there is any stock at all!  And I think there was some yesterday...

Well the simple answer is a small lens close to the part.  I am getting some WW 0060 samples in  Tongue  I am thinking that one would be nice behind a mirror in a clear PVC tube for a luminary  Cheesy

my contact at Future states warm and neutral whites, along with the high-binned cool whites in Q2 or Q3 2007.  Guess I have no choice but to wait patiently.

Odd...I usually hear back if there is a problem...I will have to give her a call.

Well that's a bummer.  I now have a cyan couple batwing stars and cool white rebels coming as well as a few warm white 80s when they come out.

Cyan...In my digging about light and plants I came across the fact that the night vision is more sensitive to cyan, not green as day vision is.  I have been contemplating efficient night lights...and dare I say, street lights and headlights.  If the energy is concentrated where the eye is sensitive at night we need less energy in all ways.  Interesting ideas...for electric cars you need to save power anyway you can.
