Spam

Today, a user registered for the express purpose of sending an offensive private message spam to everyone on the board.

First, I apologize--and please be assured that the spammer did it by using features of the message board, and so does not have your email addresses

I have looked into what would be necessary to thwart that sort of thing occurring in the future. It appears that this will entail changing message board software. I have to weigh the decision to modify this board myself versus changing to a different program. In the meantime, private messages are OFF, as there is no way to retain the functionality without the associated ability for spammers to sensd to all users.

Just as an aside, out of the last 200 registrations on this board, only about 10% have been from genuine users. This is a problem that absorbs a lot of my time, and I am very eager to solve it.
