Yeah that also gave me pause. Finding a suitable material may be a problem, I read that even nylon netting can degrade into harmul stuffs if you leave it in there.

I'm going to hold back some of my starter stock and culture it in a fishbowl on my desk at work, which gets some good sunlight. I'm growing some Salvinia that way now, it's kind of cool. Eventually maybe I'll do a minitank on my desk, but they are so hard to run--I'm a big fan of the big tanks.

Well, it didn't take long. I knew that with 6 juvenile angels in a 55 I'd get a breeding pair, I just never suspected it to happen so fast.

November 12 these were about the size of a nickel, and now they are spawning.

I got this guy today. Synodontis multipunctatus petricola (probably). Not common enough to have a real common name. He's extra shy, at least right now. The white eye is a flash side effect. This depicts his color well otherwise--those white fin edges are real. If I can size him up he'll be kind of showy.

He may eat snails--if so that's a bonus.

I also bought three flying foxes, they are trimming up the algae growing on plant leaves

And grabbed some lillaeopsis

I bought some ghost shrimp, they cleaned up for a while before becoming sushi.
