Any ideas about easiest way to conect a 12F683 to a 4 digit LED display? Grin

use a 7 segment display driver chip with an i2c (or spi or whatever) interface

Maxim has a lot of options (and free samples) ... www.maxim-ic.com

other than that, some sort of serial port expander like the 74HC595 would be up to the task ... its just a matter of more programming on the PIC
